Whenever I order from the menu at The Spud Too on Frank Street in Lufkin, I can't help but think about a scene from the movie, Forrest Gump. It's the scene, or should I say scenes, where Forrest's 'best good friend' Bubba starts naming off all the different ways you can serve shrimp.

CT volunteers help rescued dogs stranded when bus broke down

Connecticut volunteers are pitching in to help a Texas animal rescue whose bus carrying about two dozen dogs broke down on its way to Canada.

Barking Mad Animal Rescue had been driving two buses full of dogs from Hemphill, Texas to New Brunswick, Canada, where they were set to be adopted.

But their trip was derailed when one its buses broke down in a Staples parking lot in Southington on Thursday, the rescue group wrote on its Facebook page.
