WHAT...Ozone Action Day Alert.

WHERE...Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western
Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties

WHEN...400 PM Tuesday June 25 to 400 PM Wednesday June 26

IMPACTS...Ozone Action Day Alert is now in effect for the Front
Range Urban Corridor. Request to limit driving gas and diesel-
powered vehicles is now in effect until at least 4 p.m. Wednesday,
June 26, 2024. Continued hot and stagnant conditions will allow
Ozone concentrations to reach the Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups
category on Tuesday and Wednesday. The highest concentrations are
expected in and around the Denver Metro Area.For areas included in
this advisory that are not expected to reach the Unhealthy for
Sensitive Groups (USG) air quality designation, we request that
activities, such as driving non- ZEV vehicles (i.e., gas or
diesel), be reduced to lessen the impacts on neighboring air
quality. Additional air pollution in this region may directly
worsen air quality or contribute to precursors which may also

HEALTH INFORMATION...Increasing likelihood of respiratory symptoms
and breathing discomfort in active children and adults and people
with lung disease, such as asthma. Active children and adults, and
people with lung disease, such as asthma, should reduce prolonged
or heavy outdoor exertion.

* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 213, 214, 216, 239, 240,
241, 244, 245, 246, 247 and 249.

* Timing...From 11 AM until 9 PM MDT Monday. Dry and gusty
conditions develop from south to north this afternoon.

* Winds...South 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Relative Humidity...As low as 9 percent.

* Impacts...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread.
Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a
spark and start a wildfire.

IMPACTS...Ozone Action Day Alert is now in effect for the Front
Range Urban Corridor. Request to limit driving gas and diesel-
powered vehicles is now in effect until midnight, Monday night,
June 17, 2024. Ozone concentrations are expected to reach levels
that are Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups on Monday. The highest
concentrations are most likely in the southwestern and western
portions of the Denver Metro area, from Chatfield State Park
northward through Golden. Cooler temperatures and breezy winds are
expected to keep ozone in the Good to Moderate range on Tuesday.
For areas included in this advisory that are not expected to reach
the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) air quality designation,
we request that activities, such as driving non-ZEV vehicles
(i.e., gas or diesel), be reduced to lessen the impacts on
neighboring air quality. Additional air pollution in this region

expected.

* WHERE...Denver, Castle Rock, Briggsdale, Greeley, Fort Morgan, and
Byers.

* WHEN...From noon Saturday to noon MDT Sunday. The strongest winds
will be Saturday night and early Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially
for high profile vehicles. Blowing dust will reduce visibility to
less than a quarter mile in places.

* WHAT...Heavy, wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations between
8 and 16 inches, with up to 20 inches west of I-25. Winds gusting
as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Boulder and the western suburbs of Denver, and Denver.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 6 AM MDT Friday. Rain will change
to snow in most areas mid to late evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible, especially
late tonight through Thursday night. Scattered power outages will
be possible.

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills. Wind chills as low as 40
below zero.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, north central, and northeast
Colorado.

* WHEN...Until 11 AM MST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite
on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...I-25 Urban Corridor, Palmer Divide, northeast plains of
Colorado, Front Range Foothills, and portions of the northern
mountains.

* WHEN...From Noon until Midnight MDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Another round of heavy rain producing thunderstorms can be
expected again this afternoon and evening. Stronger storms
will be capable of producing 1.5 to 2 inches of rain in 45
minutes or less.

The Flash Flood Watch this evening will expire for the I-25 Corridor
and adjacent plains.

The flash flooding threat has ended. Therefore, the Flash Flood
Watch will expire at Midnight MDT tonight.
