Give to a forest in need in their memory Let the family know you are thinking of them Let your community know Francis Xavier Kelly, 89, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on August 21st surrounded by loved ones. Francis was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 13, 1934 to Hannah and Joseph Harold Kelly. He was the devoted husband to Jeanette, and loving father to Frank Jr., Kristie, Tracy, and Daniel (Victoria) Kelly. A veteran of the Korean War, Francis had a long and fruitful career in computer programming first at TPF&C Holdings, then CIGNA.
He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus for many years, and spent his retirement volunteering at A.I. Dupont Children's Hospital. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren, Shane, Joel, and Reed. He is preceded in death by his brothers Joseph, Edward, and David, and survived by his sister Therese Meinert.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Services will be held at Church of the Holy Child on Saturday, September 23rd at 11am.
