John B. Baughman, 53, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away on Wednesday September 13, 2023 at his home. John was born in South Bend, Indiana on April 12, 1970 to Duwaine and Marlene (Albright) Baughman. While attending Washington High School. John began working for Kroger and has been a faithful employee there for over 36 years. John met Dawn Gleva at the Vineyard Church of Mishawaka in 2014 where they both volunteered.

They were married on December 12, 2018. John loved to volunteer his time especially helping run media and sound with Celebrate Recovery. He enjoyed collecting trains and tractors from his childhood. Some of his favorite past times was watching the Notre Dame football games and Nascar. He loved watching tv especially any show to do with cooking food, however his all time favorite show was “M*A*S*H”.

John considered himself a “foodie”, he loved going to restaurants and finding new places to eat, even though he always had his favorite spots. John is survived by his wife, Dawn, his parents; Duwaine and Marlene Baughman, his brother; Dan (Rhoda) Baughman of Huntertown, mother-in-law; Judy Gleva of Niles, brother-in-law; John Gleva Jr.

of South Bend, sister-in-law; Kate Gleva of Niles, and his nieces and nephews; Mikayla, Rachel, Ben, Violet, Kaylee, and John III. Visitation of John will be held from 4pm-7pm on Monday September 18, 2023 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.

on Tuesday September 19, 2023 with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Memorial contributions in John’s name may be made to the Liberty Twp. Fire Dept, PO Box 813, North Liberty.
