Patsy Caporuscio, 72, of Altoona, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Amerigo Sr. and Rosie (Lear) Caporuscio. On Jan. 21, 1971, he married Patricia Marron, and she preceded him in death in 2000. He is survived by two sons, Marty and Gregg; his companion, Patty Slick; three grandsons: Anthony (Kailey) and their boys, Ki’yonte and Ay’vion; Aaron and Alex; nieces and nephews; and their children: Pete (Lisa) with Cecilia, Olivia and Sophia; Mindy (Seth) with Caitlin; Abby (Robbie) with Strummer, Lucy, Mallory, Bella Giana and Kyla; Devyn, Maura, Kathleen and Colleen; a special brother-in-law, John Starr; and two sisters-in-law, Elaine (Robert) Jones and Jeanne (James) Marsili. Patsy was preceded in death by two sisters, Cecelia and Rosanne; and a brother, Amerigo. Patsy was a 1969 Altoona Area High School graduate and joined the United States Marine Corps.

He later became a master plumber and started “Caporuscio’s” in 1976. He enjoyed fishing, boating in Ocracoke Island, and spending time with this family, especially his grandson and best buddy, Ay’vion. Patsy was a past member of Church of God of Prophecy and current member of Altoona Church of God. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023, in the Santella Funeral Home. A viewing will also be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at the Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534 Fourth St., Altoona. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Patsy to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
