On July 18, 2024, The Prince George’s County Planning Board Granted Approval Of A Long-Term Lease Of Maryland-National Capital Park And Planning Commission (“M-Ncppc”) Owned Property At The National Harbor For The Development Of The New Prince George’s County Public Safety Building. The Annotated Code Of Maryland, Land Use Article § 17-204(A)(2) Requires That Leases On Property Owned By M-Ncppc In Excess Of Twenty Years Shall Be Approved By The Prince George's County Council. The Proposed Lease Has A Forty-Year Initial Term With Two Ten-Year Renewal Options.
