"We felt good after SLU's first goal, but the second goal took a bit of a mental toll on us heading into halftime." Christopher gave SIUE a 1-0 advantage early in the contest, scoring at the 3:51 mark in the first half.

She becomes the eighth player this season to score a goal for the Cougars this season. The Billikens flipped the Cougars' momentum 16 minutes later, tying the game up 1-1. SLU would later take a 2-1 advantage five minutes shy of the first half conclusion for a lead heading into the locker room.
