The 2023 baseball season is the sixth under head coach Tony Vitello for Tennessee. Opening day for the Vols was held on Feb. 17. Tennessee played in the 2023 MLB Desert Invitational in Arizona Feb. 17-19. The MLB Desert Invitational field consisted of Tennessee, Arizona, Fresno State, Michigan State and San Diego. Southeastern Conference regular-season play concludes on May 20, while the SEC Tournament takes place May 23-28 at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama. NCAA Tournament regionals are slated for June 2-5, while NCAA super regionals takes place June 9-12. The 2023 season will conclude June 16-26 with the College World Series at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.
