The crash occurred in the area of milepost 248, about 2 miles south of Bellingham, according to the PulsePoint EMS dispatch log reporting system. The Washington State Patrol (WSP) said in a press memo that a silver 2002 Honda Civic sedan had been northbound on I-5 when it drove off the left side of the roadway and struck guardrails on both sides multiple times.
