A A+ A++ A+++
The North Bend Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) Team, also known as NBAT, is a group of FCC licensed amateur radio operators who assist public service agencies in emergency situations. They are currently working on troubleshooting a flashing "warning" sign system that broadcasts public emergencies and tourism information for the cities of North Bend and Snoqualmie. NBAT encourages people of all ages to pursue amateur radio as a hobby and obtain the necessary license. They also welcome individuals who are interested in emergency communication but may not have operator skills, as there are other roles such as logging information and running messages. NBAT holds regular meetings, training sessions, and simulated emergency tests. More information can be found on their website or by contacting them via email.
