Cottage Grove picks city manager with long history in Pacific Northwest municipalities

Michael Sauerwein has been selected as the new city manager of Cottage Grove, Oregon. Sauerwein was chosen from a pool of five finalists and has previous experience as a city manager in various locations. The city and Sauerwein have signed a letter of intent, and the official appointment is expected to be made at a meeting on January 8, 2024.
