Scott Halasz has been hired as the assistant head coach for the Cougar women's soccer team at Washington State University (WSU). Halasz brings over 20 years of coaching experience, including serving as associate head coach at the University of Utah. He oversaw the Utes during their successful NCAA Tournament campaigns in 2013, 2016, and 2019. Prior to his time at Utah, Halasz coached at Pacific Lutheran University and various other teams in Washington. He is a Seattle native and a graduate of Seattle University. The WSU soccer team had a record of 9-6-4 in the 2023 season and will be participating in the West Coast Conference as affiliate members in the upcoming season.
