Suspect Arrested for Drive by Shooting

A suspect was arrested by Spokane Police for a drive-by shooting and unlawful possession of a firearm. The arrest took place in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on 4-18-24. The suspect had been receiving medical treatment since the incident, but left against medical advice prompting an extensive search leading to his arrest in the Perry District. Zachary M. Nelson (31) was booked into Spokane County Jail for multiple charges including Drive By Shooting and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, along with a new charge related to a court order violation.
