The Expo 50th anniversary opening ceremonies are set for May 4, 2024, kicking off a 9-week celebration in Spokane. The event will feature various activities such as a Pillar Showcase, poetry readings, performances, cultural sharing, and more. The celebration will continue until July 4, with events focusing on arts & culture, environmental stewardship, tribal culture, Expo legacy, and recreation & sports.
