Chelan County Sends Almost $100,000 For Heritage Heights Remodel

Chelan County Commissioners have approved nearly $100,000 in funding for the ongoing remodel project at Heritage Heights assisted living center in Chelan. The county has already contributed over $350,000 to the project and is hesitant to provide additional funding. Commissioner Tiffany Gering suggested that the center apply for funding from Chelan PUD's Public Power Benefit Program. The remodel project includes adding 10 beds and two end-of-life beds to the facility. The county's contribution will cover compensation for losses incurred by keeping six rooms vacant during the remodel and wiring for a new generator.
