High-speed chase included the driver turning around in Philomath

A high-speed chase involving a 33-year-old driver from Vancouver, Washington, began in Lincoln County and went into Philomath city limits before returning to Lincoln County. The driver was spotted driving recklessly on Highway 20, initially pulled over but then fled after being uncooperative with deputies. Spike strips were deployed multiple times during the pursuit, and the driver was eventually apprehended after his tires were deflated by a spike strip. Charges against the driver include reckless driving, attempt to elude, DUI, reckless endangering, interfering with a police officer, and offensive littering. Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in the pursuit and arrest without any reported injuries.
