Wheat farmers from Maryland, Minnesota, and North Dakota visited flour mills and bakeries in Vietnam to observe how U.S. Wheat Associates promotes U.S. wheat with customers. The group also traveled to Guangzhou, China, where they met with grain traders and attended the 40th anniversary of the Sino American Baking School (SABO). The team included farmers representing different classes of U.S. wheat and engaged in various activities such as touring facilities and attending briefings on grain grading. The visit highlighted the diverse uses of U.S. wheat in different markets and emphasized the strong relationships USW has built with industry leaders in Vietnam and China. Further details about their activities will be shared in upcoming editions of the Wheat Letter.
