* WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level
expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.
* WHERE...Southern Westchester County.
* WHEN...From this evening through late tonight.
* IMPACTS...Brief minor flooding of the more vulnerable locations
near the waterfront and shoreline.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Additional coastal flooding is possible for
Wednesday and Thursday night's high tide cycles.
As temperatures fall below freezing this evening, any residual
moisture or standing water could freeze and lead to areas of black
ice development, particularly on untreated and elevated surfaces.
Use extra caution if traveling tonight or early Monday morning.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following
areas, Northern Fairfield, Northern Middlesex, Northern New Haven,
Northern New London, Southern Fairfield, Southern Middlesex,
Southern New Haven and Southern New London and southeast New York,
including the following areas, Northern Westchester, Putnam and
Southern Westchester.
* WHEN...From Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street
flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A strong storm system will impact the area Tuesday night into
Wednesday with the likelihood of heavy rainfall. Rainfall
amounts of 2 to 3 inches with localized higher amounts are
possible during this time. This combined with a snowpack
across portions of the watch area along with saturated
grounds will lead to rapid runoff into area rivers and
streams. There will be potential for widespread flooding.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast New York, including the following
counties, Bronx and Westchester.
* WHEN...Until 1215 AM EST Tuesday.

recede below flood stage.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 416 PM EST, Minor flooding continues along the Bronx
River.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall will be likely.
* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following
areas, Northern Fairfield, Northern Middlesex, Northern New Haven,
Southern Fairfield, Southern Middlesex and Southern New Haven,
northeast New Jersey, including the following areas, Eastern
Bergen, Eastern Essex, Eastern Passaic, Eastern Union, Hudson,
Western Bergen, Western Essex, Western Passaic and Western Union,
and southeast New York, including the following areas, Bronx,
Kings (Brooklyn), New York (Manhattan), Northern Queens, Northern
Westchester, Orange, Putnam, Richmond (Staten Island), Rockland,
Southern Queens and Southern Westchester.
* WHEN...Through Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff will result in widespread flooding of
rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone
locations. Minor to moderate flooding is likely in poor drainage
and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches with locally higher amounts,
possibly as much as 5 to 6 inches, are forecast across the
watch area tonight into Monday. The heaviest rainfall is
expected to fall late tonight into early Monday morning. The
combination of heavy rainfall and the already saturated
grounds due to heavier rain over the last week will likely
result in streams across the area experiencing rapid rises
resulting in flooding along low-lying and flood-prone
locations.

CCA
* WHAT...Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 45 to 55 mph
expected.
* WHERE...In Connecticut, Northern Fairfield, Northern New Haven
and Northern Middlesex Counties. In New Jersey, Hudson County.
In New York, Southern Westchester, New York (Manhattan), Bronx
and Richmond (Staten Island) Counties.
* WHEN...From midnight tonight to noon EST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result.
* WHAT...1 1/2 to 2 1/2 ft of inundation above ground level is
likely in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline
with the Monday afternoon high tide. Less than 1 ft inundation
above ground level is possible with tonight's high tide.
* WHERE...In Connecticut, Southern Fairfield, Southern New
Haven, Southern Middlesex and Southern New London Counties. In
New York, Southern Westchester County.
* WHEN...From 10 PM Sunday to 6 PM EST Monday. Minor flooding
possible with tonight's high tide. Widespread moderate
flooding likely with the Monday afternoon high tide.
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Widespread moderate flooding (up to 2
1/2 ft of inundation) of vulnerable areas is expected near the
waterfront and shoreline, including roads, parking lots,
parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the
waterfront. Numerous road closures are likely, and vehicles
parked in vulnerable areas near the waterfront will likely
become flooded.
* RIVER FLOOD IMPACTS...Flooding with the Monday afternoon high
tide will likely extend inland from the waterfront up tidal
rivers. Surge up the Hudson River will affect low lying
riverfront communities in Westchester, Rockland, Orange and
Putnam counties. In addition, heavy rainfall and/or runoff
coinciding with the Monday afternoon high tides will
exacerbate street and property flooding issues along tidally
affected rivers of Westchester and southern CT.
* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Breaking waves of 3 to 5 ft during the
Sunday Night and possibly Monday afternoon high tides. This
will result in widespread beach erosion, with minor damage
possible to shoreline structures, and wave splashover onto
shoreline roads and properties.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Peak surge of 3 1/2 to 5 ft will likely
be between high tidal cycles Monday morning. The timing of
windshift late Monday morning into early Monday afternoon will
be critical to the coverage and magnitude of moderate coastal
flooding. Residents of vulnerable coastal locales should
prepare for the potential for widespread moderate flooding (2
1/2 ft of inundation) late Monday morning into Monday
afternoon. In addition, heavy rainfall and/or runoff
coinciding with the tonight and Monday afternoon high tides
will exacerbate street and property flooding issues along the
coast and tidally affected rivers of Westchester and southern
CT, as well as the Hudson River.
* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Statement, up to a half foot of
inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near
the waterfront and shoreline. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, up
to one and a half feet of inundation above ground level
expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.
* WHERE...In Connecticut, Southern Fairfield County. In New
York, Southern Westchester County.
* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Statement, from 7 AM EDT early this
morning until 11 AM EDT late this morning. For the Coastal Flood
Advisory, from 7 PM this evening to midnight EDT tonight.

high tide this morning. Minor flooding is expected in the most
vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline this
evening in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low
lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and
homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will
experience shallow flooding.
