A Smoke Air Quality Advisory has been issued. Wildfires burning in
the region combined with forecasted conditions will cause air
quality to reach unhealthy levels.
Pollutants in smoke can cause burning eyes...runny nose...aggravate
heart and lung diseases...and aggravate other serious health
problems. Limit outdoor activities and keep children indoors if it
is smoky. Please follow medical advice if you have a heart or lung

...ABUNDANT LIGHTNING FOR SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING...
.An upper level ridge of high pressure will begin to breakdown
Saturday as a weak weather disturbance rides up the ridge and
over the region, which will bring increasing unstable conditions
across the eastern mountains, with a slight chance of isolated
thunderstorms in the afternoon. Saturday thunderstorms could
produce abundant lightning leading to new fires starts.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 640 Central Mountains of
Oregon, 642 Southern Blue and Strawberry Mountains and 644
Central Blue Mountains.
* IMPACTS...Thunderstorms may produce abundant lightning leading
to new fire starts.
* THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated to widely scattered. Lightning
activity level of 2 to 3.
* OUTFLOW WINDS...Gusts as high as 50 mph are possible on
Saturday near thunderstorms.

heat-related illnesses for those who are sensitive to heat,
especially those without effective cooling or adequate hydration.

* TIMING...Friday late morning through early evening.
* WINDS...West 5 to 10 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 percent.
* TEMPERATURES...Up to 101.

may lead to extreme fire behavior.
* HAINES...As high as 6.
