Air Quality Alert issued May 13 at 10:40AM CDT

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air
Quality Advisory for PM2.5 which will remain in effect until
midnight tonight. This advisory affects people living in the
following counties: Adams, Buffalo, Chippewa, Clark, Columbia,
Crawford, Dane, Dunn, Eau Claire, Grant, Green Lake, Iowa,
Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon,
Marquette, Menominee, Monroe, Outagamie, Pepin, Pierce, Portage,
Richland, Saint Croix, Sauk, Shawano, Taylor, Trempealeau,
Vernon, Waupaca, Waushara, Winnebago, Wood.

Due to Canadian wildfire smoke, the air quality index is expected
to reach the UNHEALTHY FOR SENSITIVE GROUPS level. People with
heart or lung disease, older adults, and children should reduce
prolonged or heavy exertion.

Winter Weather Advisory issued January 23 at 3:33AM CST until January 23 at 2:00PM CST

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected to move northward into the
area during the morning hours. Total slushy snow accumulations
of up to two inches and ice accumulations under one tenth of an
inch. Less snow and ice accumulation near the Lake Michigan
shoreline.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Wisconsin.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions will impact the morning commute.

Special Weather Statement issued January 10 at 1:24PM CST

Alert Icon Weather Alerts

Snowfall will move in from the southwest to the northeast this
evening starting around 7-10 PM CST and continuing into Thursday
morning. Total snow accumulations around 1-3 inches are expected.
A narrow band of moderate snow is expected across southwest
Wisconsin which could bring locally higher amounts up to 4 inches.
Untreated roads may be slick and snow covered for the Thursday
morning commute. Please exercise caution if driving overnight.

Winter Storm Watch issued January 10 at 9:30PM CST until January 13 at 12:00PM CST

* WHAT...Heavy snow with accumulations of 6 or more inches
possible. Winds gusts of 40 to 50 mph could result in
significant impacts from blowing and drifting snowfall,
especially Friday afternoon into Friday night.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, south central and southeast
Wisconsin.

* WHEN...From Friday morning through Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
may impact the morning commute and will likely impact the
evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is the potential for lower amounts
for lakeshore areas during the day Friday with onshore winds,
with colder conditions and more northerly winds arriving by
the evening hours.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected, with
locally higher amounts possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, south central, and southeast

Wisconsin, Fond du Lac and Sheboygan. In south central Wisconsin,
Dane and Rock. In southeast Wisconsin, Dodge, Jefferson, Kenosha,

Air Quality Alert issued June 29 at 12:14PM CDT

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air
Quality Advisory for PM2.5 and Ozone which will remain in effect
until 12:00 PM CDT Friday, June 30th. This advisory affects
people living in the following counties: Columbia, Dane, Dodge,
Fond du Lac, Green, Green Lake, Iowa, Jefferson, Kenosha,
Lafayette, Marquette, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Sauk,
Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha.

Due to the continued presence of smoke originating from Canadian
wildfires, the air quality index is expected to reach the
UNHEALTHY FOR SENSITIVE GROUPS to UNHEALTHY level for both
PM2.5 and Ozone. People with heart or lung disease, older adults,
and children should avoid prolonged or heavy exertion and
consider avoiding all physical outdoor activities; everyone else
should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion and consider avoiding
