Localized higher amounts possible over the northeastern corner
of the county. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Tompkins county.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 11 AM EDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. Gusty winds
could bring down tree branches with spotty power outages.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow showers including a few possible
squalls will develop midday to afternoon. Steadier snow with
blowing snow and falling temperatures will occur this evening
through early Monday when the main travel impacts are expected.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 8 PM EDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds are expected tonight
through Monday.

Based on a couple of the significant weather predictors, ie, Nationa Weather Service and the Farmers Almanac, this 2022/23 Winter will be our third La Nina winter in a row.
