Allensworth is an unincorporated community in Tulare County, California. Established by Allen Allensworth in 1908, the town was the first in California to be founded, financed, and governed by African-Americans. The original townsite is designated as Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park. The 2010 United States census reported Allensworth's population was 471.

Allensworth sits at an elevation of 213 feet (65 m), the same elevation as the huge and historically important Tulare Lake shore when it was full.
