Rocky Point is located in north-central Lake County at 47°43′56″N 114°10′57″W (47.732361, -114.182570), along the west shore of the south end of Flathead Lake. It is bordered to the northeast by the Kings Point CDP and to the southwest by the Jette CDP. It is 3 miles (5 km) north of Polson, the county seat. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.62 square miles (1.6 km2), all land.
