We would like to provide the residents of  Box  a basic history overview.

Box has a population of 185. 57.8% of Box’s inhabitants are Male, and 42.2 are female. 31.2% of Box is married and 81.4% own their own home. Box’s Ethnic is the following: White(49.2%), Native(43.8%), Multiple(7%).


Box is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, United States. Its population was 224 as of the 2010 census. Oklahoma State Highway 82 passes through the community. Box was previously known as Roy; its post office changed its name to Box on July 7, 1911, after resident Henry Box.


The post office closed on February 29, 1928.
