Marquette has a population of 195. 52.8% of Marquette’s inhabitants are Male, and 47.2 are female. 51.4% of Marquette is married and 72.5% own their own home. Household median income in Marquette is $36,806, and the individual median income is $27,083. Marquette’s Ethnic is the following: White(97.9%), Hispanic(3.1%), Other(1.5%), Black(0.5%).
As of the census of 2000, there were 169 people, 69 households, and 52 families living in the village. The population density was 457.6 people per square mile (176.4/km2). There were 140 housing units at an average density of 379.1 per square mile (146.1/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 98.82% White, 0.59% from other races, and 0.59% from two or more races.
0.59% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 69 households, out of which 21.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.8% were married couples living together, 10.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.2% were non-families. 18.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 2.75. In the village, the population was spread out, with 20.7% under the age of 18, 4.7% from 18 to 24, 20.7% from 25 to 44, 29.0% from 45 to 64, and 24.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 48 years. For every 100 females, there were 113.9 males.
For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 109.4 males. The median income for a household in the village was $36,667, and the median income for a family was $35,417. Males had a median income of $34,250 versus $22,250 for females. The per capita income for the village was $17,053. About 3.8% of families and 4.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under the age of eighteen or sixty five or over.
