Russell Kirby, 80, of Slater, died Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Slater, with Fr. Francis Doyle officiating. SPRINGDALE — Arkansas softball coach Courtney Deifel was the guest speaker Wednesday at the Hawgs Illustrated Sports Club luncheon at Home 2 Suites in Springdale.

Deifel has built the Razorbacks into an SEC elite program in her nine seasons at the helm. Four times the Razorbacks have won 40 or more games and they have won two SEC championships.
