Mr. Russell Nash, age 83, of Colquitt died Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Colquitt United Methodist Church with Rev. Jean Watson and Rev. Chris Shoemaker officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Colquitt United Methodist Church.

Honary Pallbearers will be Billy Torode, Justin Strickland, Kenny Kelley, Ray Lovering, Walter Snodgrass, Emory Deen, Steve Singletary and Bubba Jones.

Centre Man Driving Truck Involved In Fatal Crash - WEIS

Alabama state troopers said Jams L. Simpkins, 68, of Lineville, Alabama, was killed Saturday, when his 2003 Lincoln Town Car collided head on with a 2016 Freightliner truck driven by a man from Centre. Apparently the driver of the truck was not injured in the crash and his name was not released by Alabama State Troopers investigating the accident.

The accident occurred on Alabama 9, approximately 8 miles north of Lineville in Clay County.
