Trial Date Set: Omaha Doctor Accused of Killing Sioux Falls Woman

A Nebraska surgeon, accused of killing a Sioux Falls woman in a 2023 Omaha car accident, will stand trial in August.

The head-on collision took place on September 1, 2023 on Dodge Street in Omaha near the 62nd Street intersection.

According to police reports, 61-year-old Dr. Mark Carlson's Mercedes Benz was traveling as fast as 106 miles per hour just seconds before it struck a light pole and then a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Anna Bosma.

She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

One of the great natural phenomena witnessed by thousands in South Dakota over the weekend was the Northern Lights. This aurora was brilliant. Just west of Sioux Falls a group of locals were invited to my neighbor's farm.
