We will be welcoming Hometown Heroes throughout Central Massachusetts, including Police, Fire, EMS, Medical professionals, and more. The DCU Center will also host the annual Guns N' Hoses game prior to the start of the Railers game as Worcester PD and Worcester Fire Hockey square off. The night will be culminated by the honoring of the 25th anniversary of the Worcester 6, donning special Worcester 6 themed jerseys during the game. One of the most iconic operations of the Revolutionary War was the transport of artillery and military munitions from Fort Ticonderoga and Crown Point to Boston by Col. Henry Knox. In the dead of winter, the “Noble Train of Artillery” was floated south on Lake George. After a heavy snowfall, the guns were pulled by sled from Lake George to Albany after crossing the Mohawk and Hudson rivers, and then hauled over the Berkshires to Boston.
