For the first time a mobile Light the World Giving Machine is available. On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, the Light the World Mobile Giving Machine made its third of five stops across the southeastern United States, opening at The Interlock in northwest Atlanta, Georgia. High winds this week in Sumiton, Alabama, blew the roof from a self-storage building and sent it careening onto a nearby home. Emergency responders were called to Sumiton Mini Storage early Wednesday morning following reports of straight-line winds.
