Viola Teen Injured in Rollover Crash near West PlainsOzark Radio News

West Plains, MO. – A Viola, Arkansas teen is receiving medical treatment after being in a crash that caused her vehicle to overturn. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred at 8:45 p.m. on US 160, three miles west of West Plains on Monday night.

A westbound 2000 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 17-year old girl traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a sign and overturning. The teen had been wearing a seatbelt and suffered serious injuries in the crash. The driver was taken by ambulance ... Read more

Former health executive sentenced in sprawling bribery scandal that ensnared Arkansas lawmakers

A federal judge sentenced Tommy Ray Goss, who with his wife headed a behavioral health care charity at the center of a sprawling bribery scandal spanning Arkansas and Missouri, to six years in prison on Thursday. The sentencing hearing was in federal court in Kansas City, Missouri.

U.S. District Judge Brian C. Wimes also ordered Goss to pay a $350,000 fine. Goss is to report to prison June 10. The judge indicated he will decide on restitution later.
