Water Canyon football stays warm with help from school district partner

HILDALE, Utah — This was the inaugural season for Water Canyon High School’s football team and they started it off with a bang. Not only reaching the playoffs but decisively advancing to the semi-finals. Unfortunately, the next challenge facing the team was a formidable foe, the snow.

The next game was to be played in Cedar City at Southern Utah University, and the weather was taking a turn. Water Canyon Principal Steve Showalter said they did not have the equipment to keep their players warm because they are a new school.
