Clothing retailer Rue 21 files for bankruptcy, closes 7 Arizona locations

A "fashionable" clothing retailer targeted toward younger audiences, with seven Arizona locations, will be shutting down all 543 of its stores, according to USA Today.

Rue 21 filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and attempted to sell its business, but there was no willing buyer who wanted to pay more than the company would earn in "going out of business" sales, according to Reuters. The company has 4,9000 employees and is $194.4 million in debt.
