Boat accident near Courtney Campbell Causeway leaves one dead

TAMPA, Fla. — One person was killed in a boating incident in Tampa Bay near the Courtney Campbell Causeway on Saturday.

The accident happened just before 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), received a report of a single vessel boating incident in Tampa Bay near the Courtney Campbell Causeway in Hillsborough County.

The FWC, Tampa Police Department, and Tampa Fire Rescue all responded to the scene.
