The Florida State baseball team is back home for a weekend series against ACC rival North Carolina State.

No. 6 FSU (34-9, 13-8) is coming off a series win at No. 9 Duke, while the No. 20 Wolfpack (25-17, 12-9) swept Ball State last weekend but lost 5-4 to UNC Wilmington on Tuesday. The series pits two of the ACC's top sluggers in FSU's James Tibbs III (18 home runs, 66 RBIs) and NC State's Alec Makarewicz (17 homers, 58 RBIs).

TALLAHASSEE — Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody on Wednesday filed a federal lawsuit challenging a new Biden administration rule that will require more gun sellers to be licensed and run background checks on buyers.

Moody’s office filed the lawsuit in Tampa, alleging that the Biden administration overstepped its legal authority. Moody said in a prepared statement that the rule would “force thousands of law-abiding gun owners to register as federal firearms dealers and navigate a federal bureaucracy.”
