TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois said Wednesday he has started preliminary conversations with Steven Stamkos and his agent, calling it a priority to get the captain re-signed this offseason.

“I am very hopeful,” BriseBois said.
