The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs has named Columbus State University a Fulbright Top Producing Institution for U.S. Scholars. COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) _ Aflac Inc. (AFL) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $185 million.

On a per-share basis, the Columbus, Georgia-based company said it had net income of 30 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $1.29 per share.
