SIOUX FALLS – Sioux Falls police officers were justified when they shot a man armed with knives last month at the Cayman Court assisted living center in northwest Sioux Falls, Attorney General Marty Jackley announced on Thursday.

During the early afternoon hours of Thursday, April 4, deputies with the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office were on scene to serve a warrant to place a resident on a mental health hold at the facility in the 4100 block of West Cayman Street, near Benson Road and Interstate 29.
