Nebraska Tornado Outbreak Brings Destruction Friday Afternoon

Tornados tore through parts of Nebraska Friday afternoon (4/26/24) causing damage and knocking out power. The line of storms was dropping funnels across eastern Nebraska as it crossed into Iowa.

CNN reports a tornado ripped through the edge of Lincoln, NE causing damage. Elkhorn Nebraska, on the west edge of Omaha, seems to have suffered serious damage from a different twister.

Other tornadoes were reported near the airport in Omaha, and Waverly, Nebraska where a train was blown off the tracks.

Last year, Augustana Viking Football alum and Minnesota Vikings fan favorite CJ Ham returned to his roots here in Sioux Falls to host his first ever camp here in South Dakota.

It's now primed and ready to return in June.
