NETL Team Visits the Heartland to Advance Next-Generation Carbon Capture Technologies

NETL’s Point Source Carbon Capture Team recently resumed field visits to research and development sites where crucial technologies are being advanced with the Lab’s oversight and support to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), the world’s prevalent greenhouse gas (GHG).

Hecker, Illinois Residents Spot Possible Mountain Lion

Well, on Saturday Nov. 9, 5 On Your Side's own social discovery manager Jeanie Smith caught what looked like a big cat on video.

"Oh my God, there's a mountain lion in Hecker!" Smith proclaimed in the video.

Shortly after the sighting, a crowd gathered in the parking lot of Hecker's Wine and Dine restaurant.
