2022 Indy 500 field has a rare mix of experience and youth

The 2022 Indianapolis 500 brings the real possibility for record-breaking performances, whether it be for all-time victories, youngest winner or team champion.

Eight drivers who previously won the race are in the field, while seven are taking on the race for the first time. Thirteen American drivers and 20 international competitors are in the field. Scott Dixon won the pole position.
