Marketing major chose UWM for big-name internships

Hope Voorhies, a marketing major from Lake Villa, Illinois, was recently hired before graduating from UW-Milwaukee. Voorhies decided to attend UWM because she wanted great internship opportunities that would build her resume.

“I’ve had internships at Northwestern Mutual and for the Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks,” Voorhies says. “I also liked that UWM is in a major city — I didn’t want to go to a university surrounded by cornfields! But unlike Chicago, living in Milwaukee is much more affordable.” ... Read more
