Apply now for annual mentored archery deer hunt at Kickapoo State Recreation area

OAKWOOD, ILLINOIS, November 23 - The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) will host its third annual mentored archery deer hunting opportunity for adults and youth at Kickapoo State Recreation Area Dec. 13 through Jan. 8.

Former Piatt County Resident Sentenced to Five Years in Prison for Child Pornography Offenses

URBANA, Ill. –Neal A. Evans, 51, previously of Piatt County and now of rural Ogden, Illinois, was sentenced on November 16, 2021, to 60 months’ imprisonment for receipt and possession of child pornography.

At Evans’s sentencing hearing, Senior U.S. District Court Judge Michael M. Mihm noted the significant and long-lasting impact to the child victims depicted in the images Evans possessed.
