Taylorville Safe Passage hopes to address more than the drug addiction problem.

Coordinator Denise Evans says they’re doing their best to tackle homelessness in Central Illinois.

Fire ravages second-story apartment in downtown Pana; no injuries reported

PANA — A fire ravaged an apartment above an unoccupied business in downtown Pana Sunday afternoon.

The fire was contained to the five-room apartment in the 100 block of East Second Street.

Two renters made it out safely, said Pana Fire Chief Rod Bland.
