Four arrested for Pawnee residential burglary

On Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, at approximately 5:33 a.m., the Christian County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a residential burglary in progress at 414 E. Rd. 1525 North Road, Pawnee, Illinois. Christian County Deputies responded to the call and arrested Charles D. Turner, 47, Springfield; Christopher M. Boelling, 35, Pawnee; Thomas J. Sipes, 51, Springfield; and Cheyenne L. Treat, 24, Kincaid.

All four of the individuals were arrested for residential burglary.

(SPRINGFIELD) For the second time in two days, the Illinois State Capitol was evacuated yesterday after a threat. The Secretary of State’s Office said a threatening 9-1-1 call caused the evacuation on Monday, although no explosive devices were found and employees were let back into the building by mid-afternoon. The Capitol Building was also on lockdown this past Sunday, also due to a bomb threat, however very few employees were there.
