Former SIL teacher, coach headed to trial on sex assault charges

WILLIAMSON COUNTY — Attorneys in two Williamson County cases accusing a former Johnston City teacher and coach of sexually assaulting minors have agreed to a February 2023 jury trial date – more than three years after the first charges were filed.

Trevor Clark, of Pittsburg, Illinois, was first arrested in 2019 and charged with five counts Class 2 felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse and four counts Class 1 felony criminal sexual assault of a person between the ages of 13 and 17 who was under his supervision.

Police said two men have been arrested in connection with a recent disappearance of an Olive branch teenager.
