NAACP wants Dierbergs to build without tax incentives

ST. LOUIS COUNTY — The St. Louis and St. Louis County branches of the NAACP are asking Dierbergs Markets grocery stores to decline the tax incentive that was granted to build its new store in Crestwood.

Additionally, the civil rights organization is requesting that the company build stores in North County and the parts of St. Louis that have little access to grocery stores. The organization voiced its concerns at a press conference on Wednesday.
