Two from Witt killed in single-vehicle crash on Illinois 16 Saturday night

Two people were killed when a pickup truck left the roadway and crashed between Nokomis and Witt in Montgomery County late Saturday night.

Killed in the accident were John E. Thompson, 51, the driver of the truck, and James E. Thompson, 21. Both were from Witt.
