As an Army reservist called up for active duty and deployed to Iraq in early 2008, Joshua Whitney survived an attack 10 months later that left shrapnel in his left leg — but it was the memories of the attack that he couldn't recover from. Fake-bearded bank robbery suspect charged with 9 counts

LAFAYETTE — Joseph W. Kruger spent the bulk of his adult life in a federal prison for bank robbery, and if Tippecanoe County prosecutors prove their case, he'll likely spend decades more in an Indiana prison.

On Tuesday, prosecutors charged Kruger, the suspected fake-bearded bank robber, with four counts of theft and four counts of armed robbery.
