Spirit AeroSystems is laying off 450 after production of 737s slows

Spirit AeroSystems, a key Boeing supplier that makes the fuselages for its popular 737 Max airplanes is laying off about 450 workers because production has slowed down ever since a panel flew off one of those airplanes operated by Alaska Airlines in midair in January.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a man last seen in Wichita.

The whereabouts of 88-year-old James Elbert Bourn are unknown after he left Thursday, May 16 to get gas around 4 p.m.

Bourn was driving a 2016 grey Ford Fusion with Kansas tag 7122ABX and a vanity plate that reads Epsilon Sigma Alpha.

Bourn is a 6 foot 1 inch tall white man with grey hair and brown eyes that weighs 200 pounds.
